Emilio was born in a small village in the center of Italy and he grew up in contact with arts thanks to his parents: his father is an architect and his mother a dancer.
He studied photography at Istituto Statale d’Arte in Florence and then he moved to Bologna where he graduated in fine arts at the Accademia di Belle Arti.
His thesis is about natural light in cinematography that fascinated him, under the supervision of Fabrizio La Palombara. During these years he started working on short movie projects and commercials as cinematographer, the beginning of his dynamic photography inside a narrative context. In 2019 he graduated in Cinematography at Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia in Rome, the National Cinema School.
Giuseppe Lanci (A.IC.) and Luciano Tovoli (A.I.C, A.S.C.) are two of his greatest professors.
Now Emilio is based in Rome where he’s working with many young directors.
